Bonjour mes amies! The Hummingbird Team had the absolute pleasure of planning a beautiful, organic French-inspired capeside wedding at The Overbrook House in Bourne, MA. In a lush pasture, surrounded by wildflowers, the bride, Emily, and her soft-spoken groom, Clement, tied the knot surrounded by a close group of friends and family members – and one hilarious groomsman in a kilt (who was later heard telling guests that the kilt was for “losing a bet to the bride.”)
The day was heavenly and the sun shone softly through the green foliage as they exchanged vows on the upper lawn. Guests enjoyed champagne, cocktails and fresh lemonade on the lower lawn, followed by a delicious dinner from Seasons to Taste. We were lucky enough to capture every moment at the hands of the extremely talented photographer, Lisa Rigby, who knew this site from top to bottom.
But the party was only beginning! We lead the guests by torch-light to a nearly hidden rustic dance room that the Hummingbird Bridal had decorated with French flags and streamers (brought from Paris by the bride.) With soft moonlight shining through the windows and beautiful vintage-bulb lights strung loosely, guests danced the night away to vinyl records expertly spun by DJ Kevin Neary.
The bride and groom cut into a beautiful ruffled cake from Artisan Kitchen and guests snacked on cupcakes from the ever amazing,Kickass Cupcakes. This was more than a night to remember. It felt magical and enchanting, like it was torn from a storybook.
Congratulations again to Emily and Clement!
