Maria called us a mere 5 months prior to her ideal wedding date. “I’d like a small, intimate wedding. The only guests will be myself, my wife-to-be and an officiant. My only requirement is that the ceremony be facing the water.” From there, we began exploring venues along the North Shore and downtown Boston on the waterfront. The Seaport Hotel Flagship Suites revealed the perfect 2-room setting for an intimate ceremony and reception. As Maria and Jenny and I began to brainstorm ideas, what was originally a 2-person wedding reception began to grow into a full fledged 40-guest ceremony and dancing reception. The ceremony room would feature floor to ceiling twinkle lights and crisp, white hydrangeas, creating a cozy and romantic “Gold Room,” for Maria. For Jenny, we created (as a surprise) a purple and silver Disco Lounge, featuring modern white leather sofas and amazing cocktails for guests to enjoy before dinner. Small details such as mustache wedding programs, candle-lit wine bottles that lined the ceremony aisle, and the perfect disco playlist made for an unforgettable wedding day. And as we sat back and reflected on the day, it made my team and I happy beyond words to see the smiles and to hear the happy laughter from the brides and guests. It was a perfect day like none other.
