I love Rachel and Chris's story. It runs exactly in reverse order of how most couple's stories run.
Rachel and Chris met and fell in love. They had a beautiful baby a year later. Then they went to City Hall to tie the knot, and years later, decided to host a wedding. On their wedding day, Chris officially "proposed" to Rachel with the engagement ring that he had never before had the opportunity to give her. And for this fun, artistic, laid-back couple, this love story is perfect because it is their own unique love story.
And of course, with such a unique love story you can't host a traditional wedding! This wedding was wonderfully different in every way. The bride's friend and a professional artist, Abby Manock, installed glowing jelly fish in the trees throughout the backyard of this private home in Concord, MA. DJ Kevin Neary spun tunes from poolside until 2am (when guests jumped in the pool fully-clothed,) and the stealthy and crazy-talented Studio Atticus captured every moment of the day.
And of course we couldn't serve traditional catering food, so we brought in Pennypacker's Food Truck and guests dined on delicious seasonal salads and freshly grilled peach and porchetta sandwiches.
The Hummingbird Bridal Team loves every wedding that we take on, because every wedding is an amazing adventure, but this wedding was truly unlike any we had seen before. To Rachel and Chris - thank you for letting us be a part of your adventure!
