This wedding had it all: An Emmy-nominated bride, a lip-sync battle...photos of cats. Oh Liz and Zach, let's just keep the party going!
Liz is a writer and producer for "Word Girl" (PBS Kids) and Zach is a teacher in the Wellesley School District. With their powers combined, they were an unstoppable force when it came to planning a wedding that was 100% unique and reflective of them as a couple.
Within the beautiful walls of the Waterworks Museum in Chestnut Hill, Liz opted for handmade paper flower bouquets, created from beautiful manuscripts, and the couple brought in their favorite tacos and fixings from Loco South Boston. But it wasn't until DJ T-Rex started the party that things really took a left turn.
Liz and Zach had challenged one another to a lip-sync battle weeks before and each had been diligently preparing in secret for the showdown set to take place during the reception. Each took their turn on the mic and from Zach's version of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" to Liz's version of Jennifer Hudson's "And I Am Telling You" - the battle was too close to call. They decided to end the battle with a shared version of Macklemore's "Downtown," with the enthusiastic help of the Bridal Party. And this event was only the start of the reception which went well into the night.
Each table was decorated with vintage books and paper flowers (meticulously arranged by Hummingbird Bridal Designer, Rebecca Hammond) and guests wished happy wishes to the couple on the backs of vintage postcards. And of course, what would a wedding be without Elly Jackson to officiate the beautiful ceremony, and the eternally bad-ass Alexandra Roberts to capture such beautiful and fun images from this industrial chic wedding venue.
