Aldworth Manor, a crumbling long-lost Italian villa, set the hauntingly beautiful backdrop for our styled wedding shoot. The villa, previously home to only ghosts and occasional wildlife, is under massive renovation as it transforms into a beautiful NH-based venue for musicians-in-residence and couples-to-be-wed.
It was fitting then that Emmy-nominated music producer, Benjamin Grotto, and celebrated-author, Jilly Gagnon (together for 8 years) chose to celebrate their ongoing love affair at Aldworth Manor in a styled elopement shoot this past December. Jilly, a long-time collector of vintage attire and jewelry, provided the glamorous wardrobe featured in the shoot - from an elegant lace wedding dress (circa 1940) to sweeping floor-length coats and heels from the 1920's and 30's.
Dark and beautiful details capped off the day as we featured classic whiskey cocktails in vintage snifters, long walks down secret wintery snow-lined paths and the smoldering love of two people who can barely keep their hands off one another. Open candle flames were the only interior light and fresh snowfall cushioned Ben and Jilly's footsteps as they ran through the tall winter grass to a cozy chaise in an open field.
