Sam and Meredith have known each other their entire lives - literally. Their mothers were college roommates and remained close friends from then on, through graduation, weddings and eventually having their own families. Meredith arrived first by just a few months and Sam came shortly after.
They spent their childhood vacations together and grew up teasing one another. As high school came about, love blossomed and these two (admittedly very accident-prone) friends went to prom together - Meredith in a walking cast and Sam with a broken arm. From that day forward they were inseparable.
Many years later Sam finally popped the question during a surprise "birthday" weekend away and thus began wedding planning for the "wedding of a lifetime."
Hosted on Sam's Family Farm in Putnam, Connecticut, the wedding day was a celebration of family and friends. The farm horses whinnied and galloped around the pasture as the tent was set-up and smoke from the "refined BBQ" had the farm dogs (Jabby and Annie) salivating. Alexandra Roberts, when not snapping hilarious photos of horse butts, caught every special moment and detail of this fun day.
And what was the beer of choice? Jack's Abby, obviously. As one of the brother-owners of Jack's Abby Brewery, Sam created signature labels for their favorite bottles of beer. Meredith's florals were seasonal and locally-sourced from Bittersweet Gardens. The handmade farm tables and chairs came directly from Be Our Guest Rentals and catering came from East Coast Grill.
You'll see far too many photos of me (Mandy) in here but that was because we were honored to be both planners and guests at this magnificent wedding. From a guest-perspective, I had the time of my life. And from a planner-perspective, I never want the planning to end, this was far too much fun. Much, much love to the kindest couple we know.
