We're so much more than just a "wedding planning team" here at Hbird. In the past year, we've had the opportunity to work with a number of clients in the restaurant industry who reached out to us specifically for our design and styling services and most recently, this client list included Michelle Mulford, the ridiculously talented chef behind Uncommon Feasts.
Uncommon Feasts is a boutique catering team based in Brookline who are focused on cherishing the moments of gathering around the table to share simple, luxurious food and stories that keep guests lingering long past the last bite. To be invited to design their very first pop-up restaurant was a dream come true for for us.
Working alongside the wonderful husband-and-wife duo, Jyoti and Aaron Mehta, owners of The Wine Press, and fine art photographer, Elizabeth Laduca, afforded us the chance to work with fellow artisans whose philosophies and style reflect our own so perfectly.
From hand-carved serving platters and hand-thrown clay bowls (Myrth Ceramics, the best!) to the local ingredients that Michelle selected, sourced meticulously from farms throughout New England, this pop-up restaurant exceeded even our own expectations for luxurious dining in a cozy and intimate setting.
While this was a one-night-only event, Michelle is already making plans for her next foray into pop-up dining experiences and we look forward to many more wonderful events with this amazing team.
